Alexa Chung and Reformation’s New Collection Was Made For (and By) the It Girls

While I know things are just things, I’ll never get over the time I lent my beloved copy of Alexa Chung’s It to a friend in high school and... never saw it again. Sure, I could get another copy. But none will hold the same energy as that pink linen hardcover that I would carefully page through during Tumblr scrolling breaks.

Ultimately, it’s a lesson to hold certain things tightly. And not to lend that specific friend the new sequin bag I’m getting from Chung’s new collaboration with Reformation.

On Monday, October 5th, It girl brand Reformation introduced a brand-new collection, co-designed by the It girl, Alexa Chung. Keep reading to discover everything there is to know about the colorful and ultra-cool 30-piece lineup.

The Inspiration

The new collection was made to help you get “everything you love about the way Alexa Chung gets dressed” (so... everything) for yourself. Ref and Chung have long been pals, with the latter wearing the former’s designs regularly. It was about time this collaboration happened, and the offerings are well worth the wait.

“Featuring classic knits, tailored outerwear, romantic little things, and some light bondage in the form of a strappy heel, the 30-piece assortment is a proper collection full of original designs and unexpected pairings you’ll wish you thought of—all inspired by British classics, vintage romance, and the pieces she’s been styling for years,” shared the brand.

The 30-piece collection includes everything your closet could ever want: velvet dresses, sheer dresses (in purple, even!), even more dresses, coats, jackets, scarves, sweaters, tees, button-up tops, pants, shoes, and bags.

“Alexa Chung is probably your muse’s muse, so for our latest collaboration, we opted for no degrees of separation,” added the brand.

When browsing the lineup for the first time, I was immediately enamored with the perfectly named shiny black patent Phenomenal Boot, “chili mango”-colored Cassie Trench Coat, velvet Legacy Gown (available in a royal blue, chartreuse, or magenta), strapless silk Radziwill dress, and green sequin Shimsham tote.

But really, everything is so good. This is Alexa Chung we’re talking about.
