Cardi B's New Hair Color Takes the Dip Dye Trend to Another Level

There's so much happening.

Everyone, listen up. Cardi B has a new American holiday to announce: the release of You Season 5 on Netflix. It'll take place on the 24th of April, and to keep things easy we're going to use the same color palette as we do on the Fourth of July. Okay? I think this might be a great thing for all of us.

No, I'm not joking. Over the weekend, the 32-year-old was enlisted by Netflix to tease the trailer for the final season of her favorite show. "Resident YOU superfan @iamcardib is here with a very special announcement…" wrote the streaming platform in an Instagram caption.

I wasn't kidding about the red, white, and blue either. For the big announcement, Cardi chose to color her hair in a fully American flag-themed color palette.

Cardi B's Dip-Dye Hair

Majorly side parted and blown out in big, bombshell waves that also give Americana, Cardi's hair starts white-blonde at the roots before transitioning to an orange-y red shade from her ears to right past her shoulders. Then, it becomes a denim blue shade for those curled ends. A little of the red is also visible in her bangs, tying the whole look together (not that the color palette as a whole didn't already do that).

Interestingly enough, it appears the dip-dyed style was reserved only for this announcement—not that it's not an exciting one. In the video, "resident YOU superfan" Cardi teases the teaser trailer for the upcoming season, which is set to premiere April 24.

Cardi B's Turquoise Manicure

Talking with her hands, the singer also shows off a super fun turquoise manicure. The work of her go-to nail artist, Jenny Bui, it seems to be the same set she crafted for her a few weeks back using Aprés Nails' Lagoon Five Shade.

"Got me gagging!" Cardi repeats into a mic as she sits solo in front of a desk. (A one-man Cardi B You recap podcast? Yeah, I'd listen to that.)

Hopefully, the two entertainment giants collaborated on some more content to keep us fed until the big day rolls around. If not? I'm excited she's excited, and—though I might choose just one of the colors for my watch party look—will definitely be tuning in.
