Key Takeaways

  • Makeup artist Amber Dreadon told Byrdie about Chase Infiniti’s “weightless and ethereal” 2026 Emmy Awards makeup.
  • The rust-colored glam came courtesy of a kit full of Milk Makeup.

There’s nothing like a great actress who knows the importance of both movies and TV. Benefits (for the fans, particularly) include getting to watch them more on the screen and see them stun at multiple award shows.

After looking lovely in lilac at the 2026 Oscars earlier this year, Chase Infiniti arrived back on the red carpet to celebrate her role in The Testaments at the 2026 Emmy Awards on Monday, September 14. This time around, she wore a deep rust color with (is this a tradition now?) makeup to match.

“The goal is always to feel glamorous but mostly to have fun and to enjoy it,” her makeup artist, Amber Dreadon, tells Byrdie exclusively. “I want her natural radiance to be accentuated.”

And so it was! Ahead, discover everything there is to know about the look, including a full product breakdown to help you get it yourself.

For the big night, Infiniti’s skin was super dewy with a touch of highlighter across her cheekbones. Her eyes were marked with a soft rust-colored shadow that echoed the tones of her dress, and her lips took on a similar—albeit much glossier—hue.

According to Dreadon, it was as fun to do the makeup as it is to look at it.

“The glam room vibe is always so fun. The K-pop playlist is on and the girls are vibing!” shares the artist.

The Inspiration

Dreadon notes that the vision for the Emmys was a “weightless and ethereal” look.

“Moon-touched skin with rust tones gently applied through the makeup to compliment the dress. Lush hydrated skin for the face and extra luminosity for the body,” she says. “The look was the the polar opposite of her character Hannah in The Testaments, so it’s fun to get so glam!”

Get the Look

According to the artist, similar skin is super achievable at home. You’re going to want to “keep it all delicate “with a wash of Hydro Grip Gel Tint (she used shades 5 and 6 alongside Hydro Grip Gel Concealer in 5 and 5.5) and then gently use your Milk sticks “for sculpting and shaping and the soft color on the cheek.” The Quick Sculpt shade of choice was Stoked, Matte Bronzer was Dazed, Lip & Cheek Blur was Wisp, and High Light was Mars.

The Oscar nominee’s big brown eyes received a swipe of Kush High Roll Tubing Mascara in Black while her brows were shaped with Kush Fiber Brow Gel in Grind. And as for that pout...

“We always have the best lip combos and today was no exception,” adds Dreadon. “I’m obsessed with the Line + Fill contour pencils so we were able to use the shades Extra and Bet to shape the lips then popped it with Day Trip Odessey Lip Oil.”

The Skin

Alongside her Milk lineup, Dreadon used Aveeno products for some added glow.

“I love that the Aveeno skincare makes it so easy to have lush skin at home,” the artist adds. “We always have to finish with setting spray so the Milk Hydro Grip Set & Refresh is the perfect touch for day or night looks. Then we used the Aveeno Daily moisturizing body oil for that movie star body!”

We can’t forget the waves, either. When it came to hair, Infiniti gave the three-barrel iron its red carpet turn with a head full of voluminous waves by celebrity stylist Lacy Redway and her GHD Wave tool.

In a press release, the artist said that she was inspired to create this look based on the silhouette of Infiniti’s gown.

“From the heart-shaped neckline to the dress flaring out on the bottom, we wanted the waves to resemble her dress,” Redway explained. “By brushing out her waves, we created a younger, cooler version of old-Hollywood waves.”
