Do not eat your lip balm!!!! Even if it comes in scents like Vanilla Toffee, Blackberry Sorbet, and literal "Yummy Gummy." Even if it's so, so buttery!!!

On April 4, e.l.f. Cosmetics is launching its "most indulgent" lip product yet: the Glow Reviver Melting Lip Balm. All those flavors I mentioned? They've got 'em, plus Strawberry Shortcake, Java Chip, and Wild Cherry.

And while you can't nosh on them, you can certainly enjoy them. Ahead, discover everything there is to know about the brand-new, ultra-hydrating product—plus our honest reviews.

The Inspiration

Last year, Byrdie reviewed the cruelty-free, vegan, and affordable beauty brand's viral $8 Glow Reviver Lip Oil and found it more than worth the hype. So... why not make the family a little bigger? Everyone needs another lip balm, especially one this buttery.

According to e.l.f., the Melting Lip Balm was made to deliver "buildable color, deep moisture, and a luscious finish in six delicious, snack-worthy scents."

Yes... I know they said snack worthy!! Still don't eat it.

"I'm a bit of a lip balm fiend, so I was excited to give these a try. Strawberry Shortcake is a pretty baby pink that leaves behind a sheer pink tint and lots of glossy shine. It smells like a classic Lip Smacker, and was really hard not to lick right off my lips. I prefer more of a waxy lip balm for deep moisturizing (my lips are permanently dry from two rounds of Accutane), but these are nice for some light hydration and shine throughout the day. If you want to try a trendy gloss-balm hybrid, you truly can't beat these for the price."

"The Glow Reviver Melting Lip Balm glides on effortlessly, and feels so smooth and creamy on your lips. Vanilla Toffee is my preferred shade—it adds a beautiful light brown tone to my lips. I also love that the balm’s pigment is buildable, so you can for a quick wash of color or a more bold pop depending on your mood. This new addition to E.l.f.’s lip lineup is definitely going to become one of my go-to’s."
