While spring still feels far, far away, there are a couple of things happening in the world to remind us that warm days are approaching. For one: the hours of sunlight are getting longer. For another: Eva Longoria lightened up her hair.

On February 17, celebrity hairstylist Dimitris Giannetos shared an Instagram post of the 49-year-old showing off a lovely head of sun-kissed brunette locks. Dubbed “rich girl hair" by the artist, the shade was slightly lighter than the deep, warm brown we've been seeing on her for the last few months—and that's mostly thanks to its styling.

Though there's no doubt she's been keeping up with her color appointments, it was Giannetos' tousling genius that really made the color shine here.

“We love playing with Eva’s hair. She can literally transform and look great with any look," the artist tells Byrdie. "The 'rich girl hair' is the new style for this spring with a lot of layers and volume in the most sexy, undone possible way!"

According to the artist, the secret to achieving the look is by adding some depth to the hair—and making sure the grays are covered if need be. His product of choice is L'Oreal Paris Magic Root Cover Up Spray (Longoria is also the face of the line!), which he says "helps also give the texture and volume on the roots I want."

Unsurprisingly, the actress's inner sunshine was only made more intense by her pretty makeup. Makeup artist Elan Bongiorno highlighted her already glowy tan with a warm peach blush, nude lip, and healthy dose of mascara that was visible when her eyes peeked out from under those perfectly waved locks.

She's a rich girl, but she never goes too far. Is there really such thing as an overabundance of beauty, anyway?
