Though she was in attendance at the GQ Australia Men Of The Year Awards on December 4, Gabbriette chose a hairstyle that screamed girlhood. That is to say, I personally wore my locks like this every day in fifth grade.
Poof! The pouf is back, baby. And with the likes of Bella Hadid, Matilda Djerf, and Keke Palmer cosigning the trend, it appears this early 2000s hit going to be around for a while.

As is expected for the "International Sensation" award winner, Gabbriette's take on the style was a bit more... cool than what 10 year old me and my barrettes had going on. The majority of her dirty blonde hair was worn straight, hanging down to her waist. Then, hairstylist and professional coiffure Daren Borthwick swept any face framing strands straight back. He added the slightest bit of height (blink and you'll miss it) by securing them all together at her crown.
In an Instagram post capturing the evening, the model appeared to tackle her own makeup. Her tools included a Kylie Cosmetics palette, which she wielded as a mirror, and two dark pencils that she used to craft her signature smudged-out eye look. As she worked her magic, Borthwick went in on her hair with a round brush and hairdryer.

In the end, she also ended up with a light, glossy lip (perhaps her signature MAC lip combo?) which she'd swapped for a pale concealer lip (now middle school is calling) earlier in the day as she... road around the Australian coast on the back of a boat? We don't question It Girl activities, we just admire.

As for her outfit, the 27-year-old was dressed head to toe in black, minus a fur stole that came in navy. To tackle both the open water and red carpet, she chose skinny leather pants and a tube top. Her black platforms were the work of some spray paint, according to her Instagram Story.
Fifth grade me could never, but current me? So inspired.
