Oh, make me over.

Oh, Glossier—you're the gift that keeps on giving. Though the company was founded on the idea that your beauty routine should be simple (skin first, makeup second!)—and despite the fact that they have a killer product in their lineup to tackle basically any of your glam woes—they never stop innovating. And now, in the midst of the holidays, their latest launch has landed.

Announced December 10, Glossier's limited-edition Shadow Sticks were designed as an ode to the soft grunge look of the late '90s and early '00s. Think Courtney Love, Drew Barrymore, and—yes—good old Jenny Humphrey, who you know would've loved this turn for the makeup brand.

Ahead, everything to know about the new lineup, in all its soft-glam glory.

The Inspiration

In an Instagram post announcing the launch, Glossier gave some insight into the grunge fantasy that led to the product's development.

"Reminiscent of the effortlessly cool, soft grunge look of 2000s envy, we’ve decided to pay homage to this era with a fresh take for your holiday look creation," they wrote.

Available in five "curated neo-grunge" shades that retail for $22 a pop and are named after music culture terms—there's shimmery champagne Roadie, shimmery tarnished-silver Hook, metallic rusted-copper Amp, metallic soft-bronze Riff, and matte midnight-blue Stereo—the shadows come in a chubby stick format for can't-mess-it-up-application. You know how little kids are given chubby crayons to make drawing easier? That's this, but for your shadow.

How to Wear It

Versatile and buildable, the creamy formula glides onto your lids and stays moldable for 30 seconds before setting so you can play around a little. The sticks are available in both matte and metallic pearl finishes and simply twist to reveal more product, so you don't have to dig for your sharpener when that intense "I need to take my look from day to night right this instant" moment hits.

To use, you'll simply draw a line around your eyes and smudge it gently using your fingertips. Then, go where the night takes you.

When you wake up in your makeup... well, you'll be doing right by this product's mood board, which almost definitely included stills from "Celebrity Skin" by Hole. But actually, grab your Milky Jelly Cleanser and take it off. This is 2024, and washing your face is important.
