While Keke Palmer is always killing the hair game, her recent looks have been especially fun. She died her hair copper, for goodness sake. And wore it in a Whitney Houston-inspired curly bob!

In a February 19 Instagram post, Palmer walked fans through how she gets a similar look—hairstylist Ricardo Roberts has helped her in the past, but she can do it herself!—with a post-shower routine on her natural curls.

Paired with her excellent commentary, the video showed off the 31-year-old's favorite Creme of Nature products. Though the line has been a drugstore staple for generations (in Palmer's own family, even), she's their first-ever Chief Brand Officer. "Baby, you KNOW this hair stays moisturized and shining! Creme of Nature's keeping these copper curls locked and ready for glam," she captioned the Reel, which she narrated while setting her hair with flexi-rods.

Starting things off with her hair wet and wrapped up in a towel, she let the orange spirals fly free. Offscreen, she'd washed her hair with a sulfate-free shampoo—the One 'n Only Argan Oil by Creme of Nature Moisture & Shine Sulfate Free Shampoo—and put in a leave-in conditioner spray from the same line.

"Hey guys. I figured it would be fun if you get ready with me while I do my classic rod set," she said. "I can't be-freaking-lieve I dyed my hair honey. The copper!!!!"

Combing through her conditioned curls, she continued: "Everyone has to find their style when it comes to their natural hair. Ann did a little rod set on me. From that moment on, it really started to help me feel like I could get creative and have fun with my natural hair."

Continuing to section and clip her locks, she talked about how beauty standards played into her psyche in the past.

"As we're growing up and we're understanding what's supposed to be beautiful and how we fit in that, you don't even know how sometimes it ends up making you feel about yourself," she explained before offering a "quick sidenote" Black History Month shoutout.

Keke Palmer's Rod Technique

After her hair was sectioned, she began the rod set. Product help came via Creme of Nature's Style & Shine Foaming Mousse.

"I go under and I go up," Palmer said as she demonstrated her technique, pulling her strand as taut as possible before rolling it up with her rod. "Because I want the curls to have fun [and go] all over the place. I don't want them to all go in the same direction."

A quick jump brought her to a finished head, colored rods all over. She'd even done the heating process already and was ready to unroll those gorgeous curls.

"And boom," she said as the first one unfurled.

The next step was spraying her hands with the Anti Humidity Gloss & Shine Mist. After rubbing them together, she slowly works the product through each curl, slowly separating her strands as she goes.

As a finishing touch, a little bit of Foaming Mousse was applied to a brush and swept in to soften up the edges before Perfect Edges took over to lock things in place. Then, a quick whole-head sweep with a hair pick.

Keke Palmer's Hair Makes Her Feel "Invincible"

"Every time I get back into my look I just feel invincible," Palmer said before giving the camera a smooch. "Thanks for getting ready with me."

While fans loved the walkthrough, some couldn't help but ask for some more beauty inspo. "Wait Keke what are you using on your skin," added a commenter. "Keke yeah the hair color is cute, but let's get into the skin glowing and looking beautiful," added another.

Keke, if you're listening, the world needs more get ready with me content. I wouldn't mind some more insight into your manicures, too.
