Key Takeaways
- Kosas is launching their new, fine-art inspired Impressionist Multistick cream cheek and lip color on Monday, June 15.
- The skin-loving formula is arriving alongside a dreamy campaign starring and created by Petra Collins.
As we learned from Clueless, being called a "Monet" isn't the greatest compliment as far as art comparisons go. But I think this is the summer we reevaluate our relationship with the phrase? Someone might just think you have an impressionistic flair—so gorgeous, so vibrant, it's hard to capture on canvas, let alone in words.
The complimenter might just love hanging out with you en plein air and seeing how you catch the light! Or maybe they're impressed with your blush placement? After all, Kosas' new launch is about to make you a full on Monet/Renoir/Cassatt. I'm sure you can see how that's fully a good thing.
On Monday, June 15, Kosas is introducing Impressionist Multistick, a dreamy cheek and lip tool that arrives alongside a campaign by another great artist: Petra Collins. Keep reading to discover everything there is to know about the release.

The Inspiration
When creating Impressionist, Kosas founder and product developer Sheena Zadeh was "inspired by the instinctive, light-catching techniques of Impressionist painting." Ultimately, the product is a response to the real way skin looks in light and motion. It'll be stunning in photos/hand-painted portraits, but real life is where it really thrives.
"The new product reimagines how blush and lip color interact with the skin. Rather than sitting on top, the formula melts in—diffusing pigment into a soft-focus, flushed-from-within effect that feels both effortless and expressive," the brand explained in a press release. "It’s artistry without overthinking: color that moves with you, builds intuitively, and enhances rather than masks."
The Product
Like all of Kosas' products, there's a lot of skin love going on here. Alongside beautiful color that lasts up to 12 hours, Impressionist offers a botanical complex to hydrate and smooth and coenzyme Q10 to protect against environmental stressors. It's also fragrance-free, non-comedogenic, and suitable for sensitive skin.

"The result is a multitasking stick that not only enhances complexion, but actively supports it, bringing together performance, wearability, and skin benefits in a single step," the brand explains.
Every easily blendable shade in the seven-piece range was developed "to reflect wearable color inspired by nature and skin undertones. You'll find the rose-beige Nuance, chocolate-berry Surreal, muted pink Intuition, guava-pink Vibration, toasted papaya Vital, mauve-rose Muse, and rich berry Ripe.

As for the packaging, the silver stick was designed to fit in your hand like an artist's most prized medium. Swipe it on and blend it out with your fingers or a brush, use it for underpainting, or dab it onto your lips.

The Campaign
As mentioned, the product's campaign both stars and was crafted by Petra Collins. Her artistic vision—the brand describes it as a "signature visual language of intimacy, nostalgia, and modern femininity"—fit right in with the vision for the product.

"Rather than focusing on transformation, the work explores makeup as something more emotional—a trace of feeling, memory, and self-expression left on the skin," Kosas adds. "Set within Petra's dreamlike world of sunlit bedrooms, bathroom mirrors, shared rituals, and fleeting moments between women, the imagery blurs the line between observation and memory. Makeup becomes part of acts of care and connection: applied with fingertips, passed between friends, woven into everyday moments that feel deeply personal and lived-in."
