Fragrance Wardrobe

Your perfume isn’t just how you smell—it’s how you feel when you get dressed in the morning, for a night out, for a boardroom meeting. It's just as much of an accessory to how you present yourself to the world as your clothing (and let's not forget its close ties to memory and emotion). With that in mind, we’re launching Fragrance Wardrobe, a new scent series in collaboration with The Fragrance Foundation that highlights the rotating perfume “wardrobes” of our favorite tastemakers through key points in their life. Get to know them better via the scents they choose to wear.

Mariah the Scientist just wrapped the North American leg of her Hearts Sold Separately Tour, bringing her signature lover girl-energy to all 36 city stops. At every show, fans could count on three things: singing along to her old and new hits like “Burning Blue” and “Beetlejuice,” watching her hit the stage in effortlessly cool pink and green military-inspired looks, and stepping into venue bathrooms fully stocked with her favorite eos products.

Mariah partnered with the beloved lip and body care brand to create a full-on sensory experience at every show, complete with branded bathroom takeovers, product sampling, and other on-site activations. "I’ve been using eos for years, so to now have their support on tour makes it that much more meaningful," she says. "Being able to share something with my fans that I genuinely love and use—and letting them experience it too—adds another layer to the connection."

Given Mariah's well-documented love of fragrance—and how scent plays into this tour experience—it only makes sense to dive into her Fragrance Wardrobe. Ahead, Mariah walks us through her earliest fragrance memories, go-to eos essentials, and more.

Her Earliest Fragrance Memory

"One of my earliest fragrance recollections is tied to Avon’s Skin So Soft. My grandmother wore it for every occasion, leaving a vivid, lasting impression that’s stayed with me."

How Her Fragrance Wardrobe Has Evolved

"It's definitely evolved with me. I'm drawn to fragrances that feel emotional and layered, something that lingers and leaves an impression."

Her Fragrance Style

"Feminine, soft but unique. Nothing too loud, but definitely memorable and inviting."

The First Fragrance She Bought

"Britney Spears’ Curious because it was affordable and accessible, and I liked the smell."

The Scent That Embodies The Hearts Sold Separately Tour

"I think it would be a mix of something confident and a little playful, like eos' Pink Champagne scent, layered with something soft and comforting like eos Fresh & Cozy. That contrast really reflects the album for me: it's soft, but there's also a depth to it that lingers."

Her Go-To Candle

"Anything floral, fresh, or clean. I love lighting a candle after a long day, or right after I've finished cleaning, it feels like a reset. It instantly makes my space feel cozy and calm, like a little moment just for me."

Her Self-Care Routine During Tour

"Before a show, I try to slow everything down and get into the right headspace. I do my warmups, drink tea, and take a few quiet moments for myself. I've been doing my own makeup on the tour, so that takes the most time and focus. After the show, it's all about resetting. I'm kicking off my boots, rehydrating, eating something I love, and taking a minute to soak it all in and recharge."

Her Tour Beauty Essentials

"My essentials stay pretty consistent, and it's all about what makes me feel and look like my best self, no matter where I am. For fragrance, I've been loving eos' new Body Mists, specifically the Crème de Pistachio scent. I can't get enough of it. For skin, I wash my face with sparkling water and think everyone should give it a try. Makeup-wise, I can't go without Urban Decay's Dew Mist Setting Spray. And for hair, even when I'm wearing wigs, I make sure my natural hair and scalp are taken care of. Every night, I take my wig off and treat my scalp with Wild Hair Growth Oil."

How Her Beauty Routine Changes at Home vs Tour

"My beauty routine is all about showing up as my most confident self, whether I'm on stage or just going about my day. Regardless of where I'm going, hydration is key, so I always focus on keeping my skin moisturized through my skincare routine. On tour, my glam has to hold up under bright lights, so I stick to long-wear, hydrating formulas. When I'm at home, my routine is more lowkey, but I still choose products and looks that make me feel like the best version of myself."

The One Thing She'll Remember About This Tour

"Beyond that, just seeing people show up, sing along, and connect with the music in real life is everything. It's one thing to create it, but to feel that energy in person… that's what makes this moment so special."

The One Thing She's Doing After Tour

"I still have to hit Australia and Hawaii, then I'm actually going right back on tour with Kali Uchis, but I could definitely use a vacation."
