What I Put On My Face
All skin is good skin, which is why good skincare is more of a journey than a destination. We all love a one-off tip—but, at Byrdie, we’re more interested in how our skin evolves over time. The product we’ve used for a decade, the ingredient cocktail that made us glow, the step we never skip, and all the advice in between. This is the stuff that makes a real difference. With What I Put on My Face, we’re bringing you the rituals, recommendations, and failed experiments (we’ve all had them) straight from celebrities, founders, and influencers who’ve gone through it themselves.
I know, I know—following along on Paige Lorenze’s engagement journey was such a thrill that it’s almost sad it’s all over. Keyword almost. Now, we have the wedding photos to obsess over for eternity, and you know Paige Paul is going to keep feeding us when it comes to content. New username, same diva with the same great taste.
A few weeks ago, while en route to her final dress fitting (!), the bride hopped on a call with Byrdie to exclusively discuss all things wedding skin prep. She’d been microneedling regularly, soaking in the peptides, and taking overall very good care of her face, and I must say no one has ever looked glowier via front-facing camera on a Connecticut to NYC car ride than the 28-year-old did that very day.
Ahead, the Dairy Boy founder clues us in on her skincare background, her partnership with SkinCeuticals, and how exactly she looked so dewy on that gorgeous Tuesday in Old Westbury Gardens.
Congratulations, Paige Paul née Lorenze! On the marriage and the complexion.

About Her Skin
“Skincare has always been something I gravitated toward. There’s just no better feeling than when your skin is taken care of. My facialist and dermatologists always say your skin is your biggest organ, and I think that we take care of so many parts of our health, but skincare is just as important for your health and wellness. It’s a huge part of my daily routine, and I do wear makeup a lot, which makes it even more important.”
Her Wedding Skin Vision
“Hydrated and glassy. Glowy.”

Her Wedding Skin Prep
“More than anything, I’ve been really into more microneedling and laser facials. I would say those make even more of a difference than Botox. I mean, Botox is amazing—I have surface-level Botox in my forehead, which adds for a nice glow, but really the mix of doing more laser with SkinCeuticals products has made a huge difference.
“Obviously all SkinCeuticals products are super science-backed, but I also think they’re also super healing and hydrating. Using these really rich, amazing products with these resurfacing lasers has made my skin literally glassy.
“I would say to any bride, that combinations of things is the secret weapon to having glassy skin.”
The Product She’s Been Loving Most
“SkinCeuticals P-Tiox Serum. I use it every morning. I sometimes use it three times a day. It almost feels like a hyaluronic acid, but it’s not. It’s really just this peptide-delicious serum that immediately goes into my skin. That’s one of the things I love with my serums—I like to see them go into my skin. So when I put on the P-Tiox serum, within like 15 seconds, my skin really loves it and drinks it right up.
“SkinCeuticals was kind enough to gift my bridal party at my bachelorette the P-Tiox and I said to everyone, ‘Everyone needs to start using this now. It’s the greatest thing.’ Now all my friends are addicted. It’s the best.
“I also love the SkinCeuticals foaming cleansers, because they’re really gentle, and I love the A.G.E. Interrupter Advanced Cream. It’s a thicker cream that I’ve been using after I do microneedling, because your skin needs a little more afterward. But I’ve gone through the most bottles of the P-Tiox in the last three months.”

The Treatment She’s Been Loving Most
“I love microneedling. I get it once a month. It’s been really fun because I’ve seen such a difference in my skin; it’s just very satisfying. I’ve done laser facials before, like IPL and the Moxi and Fraxel lasers, but I’d never done microneedling until recently. And I think even after the wedding I’ll keep using P-Tiox alongside the microneedling. I think it’s just insane.”
How She Got Into Skincare
“My mom had a very simple skincare routine, and I think that I’ve always viewed skincare very simply. You only need a few of the really good things, and that goes very far compared to a bunch of products.”
Her Morning Routine
“I rinse my face in the morning, which I feel like some people steer away from. They’re worried it strips your skin, but I really like starting with a clean slate, a clean face. I’m also so confident in my products that I know if I’m removing any good oils, I’m putting them back into my skin.
“[The lineup is] SkinCeuticals foaming cleanser, P-Tiox serum, and SkinCeuticals SPF with a little bit of moisturizer mixed in. At night is when I’ll go in with more sometimes and really layer it up, but in the morning I keep it light. You don’t want to put too much on throughout the day, especially if you’re wearing makeup.”

Her Evening Skincare Routine
“I feel like I’m really assessing it day to day, but recently I’ve just been using SkinCeuticals A.G.E. anti-aging cream, because it’s also really healing”
How Her Routine Changes In the Summer
“It stays the same. My skincare routine is more simple than a lot of people would think. I think if you have three hero products, plus a gentle cleanser, that can solve all of your problems.”
Her Body Skin Routine
“I bring my SkinCeuticals products all the way down to my chest. I definitely think that’s important. I’m also freckly, so I definitely have to wear SPF. I just make sure every time I get out of the shower, I’m dousing my skin in moisturizer and oils.”
The One Skincare Step She’ll Never Skip
“Exfoliating once a week. I think that’s also a really important part of glow. Your skin is constantly turning over, and in order to prevent breakouts and keep your skin glowy I think exfoliating is incredibly important.”
How Her Routine Has Changed Over Time
“Like I’ve been saying, simple is really important to me. There was a point where, because of the amount of products constantly being talked about, I was trying a lot of different products. Now that I really have my routine down, that’s made a huge difference and has changed a lot. I really don’t venture out anymore.
Obviously there are so many beauty brands right now. I’d tell anyone reading this that it’s way more important to find a few really, really good, science-backed products, as opposed to trying everything that we see all the time.”
The Ingredient That’s Made the Biggest Difference In Her Skin
“Peptides. I mean, obviously there’s a lot of peptide talk around skincare right now, but the P-Tiox serum has a lot of peptides in it—that’s the main ingredient—and I’d say I’ve seen a huge difference.”
How Her Routine Changed (or Didn’t Change) Right Before the Wedding
“I feel really good, but I kind of set myself up that way, so there was no trying anything new. I did all that already, and now I’ve got my routine down.
I’ll probably do one more microneedling session because I haven’t done that in a bit. I healed very quickly and very well from it, so I’ll definitely do that. Otherwise, I’m honestly all good to go.”

Her Wedding Day Skincare Routine
“I am getting a facial the morning of my wedding, which is really exciting and fun. Facials are my favorite; it’s the only time I feel like I can get off my phone, close my eyes, and really unplug. Otherwise, the same routine.”
A Product That’s Always Been in Her Routine
“I think a gentle cleanser has always been there, ever since I first started experimenting with skincare. I was always told you don’t want anything that strips your skin, so literally since middle school I’ve been using a gentle foaming cleanser.”
Her Skincare Pet Peeve
“My pet peeve for myself is when I forget to pack exfoliating products when I’m traveling. I look at my skin and I just want to scrub my face and exfoliate. Otherwise I don’t really have any.”
Her Travel Skincare Routine
“I think I use more sheet masks when I’m traveling. SkinCeuticals has these sheet masks that feel medical-grade because they’re so thick. I’ll layer my skincare underneath them and then put them on during the flight.”
The Best Skincare Advice She’s Ever Received
“Less is more.”
