Rare Beauty's New Lip Oil Sticks Are Our Dream Summer Lippies

I'm having a "pinch me" moment, and I mean that in two different ways. First, it's a "you're telling me Rare Beauty made a lip oil stick? That's so exciting I must be dreaming" sort of "pinch me." Then, it's "pinch me" in a "hand me that Soft Pinch Lip Oil Stick right now, please and thank you" sense.

On Tuesday, July 7, Rare Beauty's latest makeup invention, Soft Pinch Lip Oil Stick, is officially launching. Keep reading for all the info on the new product, including Team Byrdie's honest reviews.

The Inspiration

The new product was inspired by all the best things in the lip product world: "the comfort of a lip oil, the shine of a gloss, and the payoff of a lipstick." Basically, it's your favorite Rare Beauty Lip Oil Stain, but just a little easier to apply (and minus the stain).

"I wanted to create a lip product that feels as smooth as a lip oil, but still gives you real, juicy color in one swipe," Gomez explained of the launch.

You can find the best-of-all-worlds formula in eight shades: bright coral Wish, mauve Dream, nude beige Muse, warm brown Embrace, red orange Success, violet pink Bloom, deep berry Fortune, and deep cool brown Journey.

The Formula

Featuring a light, fresh apple scent, the dermatologist-tested formula also features apple seed oil to help lock in moisture and support your lip's natural barrier. Other nourishing oils are also on deck to moisturize and make sure your lips feel super comfy.

Testing showed that the one-swipe color lasts up to eight hours, with your lips feeling soft and hydrated for the same amount of time.
