Key Takeaways

  • Sabrina Carpenter wore her hair in super curly natural ringlets—bangs included—while teasing her new song, "Manchild."
  • The curly texture's impressive springiness was on full display as she ran down a dirt road.

When Sabrina Carpenter began teasing her new single, "Manchild," earlier this week, she posted a quick silent video of herself attempting to hitchhike in mega-short daisy dukes and baby blue platform heels. We only saw her from behind, but the promise of a new song of the summer was enough that we didn't even care that her bangs were hiding and there was no audio. And yet...

Let's just say we're lucky it's almost 8 p.m. so we can hear the track? And that she shared a front-facing video so we could see her curly fringe.

Sabrina Carpenter's Curly Bangs

In a TikTok posted June 4—this time she's lip-syncing to Lana Del Rey—Carpenter runs down a dirt road with her entire head of platinum blonde hair in perfect ringlets, bangs included. While I don't think she was hiding these curls in her previous video (its styled with its typical vintage bounce), it's good we didn't catch a glimpse of them; they would've been the main subject of conversation from the get go.

Curtained off Bardot-style, the fringe ends right above the 26-year-old's eyebrows. We were only able to see it for a second before she turned around again, but I have a feeling she didn't throw on her boy shorts and lace button-up just for a six-second video. There's likely more curly bang content to come.

The look is in line with the natural hair peeks Carpenter has given us in the past, if not a little more streamlined. She obviously had her curl cream ready to rock this time; the tendrils look hydrated and there's less frizz than you'd think, given she's shooting on a dirt road with the sun high in the sky.

So... should we call it now? Hair of the summer (natural, springy) and song of the summer ("Manchild")? Addison Rae's album comes out tomorrow, too, so I want to give her a chance to make a case. But Sabrina has a pretty good track record, and those curly bangs are hard to compete with.
