Summer Fridays Finally Made a Butter Balm For Your Body, Too

I would never recommend slathering your favorite lip balm all over your body. But sometimes—when a formula is so luscious and it makes your pout so plush—don’t you kind of want to?

This could be a real problem, but Summer Fridays has a solution. They always do.

On Wednesday, August 5, Summer Fridays is launching the latest iteration of their beloved Butter Balm Franchise, and this time your whole body gets in on the goodness. The new Body Butter Balms feature the same butter blend as your favorite Lip Butter Balms (and Blush and Bronzer Butter Balms!) and arrive alongside matching Body Fragrance Mists to help extend their lovely scents.

The Inspiration

Alongside the success of their Lip Butter Balms, the new products were inspired by and the brand’s signature flavors. We know them, we love them, and we’re always looking for new ways to integrate them into our routine.

Now, you can coat your entire body in the beloved Vanilla and Pink Guava scents—as well as a new offering: Pistachio Milk.

“We wanted to tie back to our Lip Butter Balm favorites with Vanilla and Pink Guava, while introducing Pistachio Milk as a complementary scent designed for layering, explained the brand’s co-founders Marianna Hewitt and Lauren Ireland in a press release. “Together, they feel warm, sweet, nostalgic, and like a treat for wherever your day takes you.”

The Formula

The Body Butter Balms were formulated with moisture-locking oils and replenishing ingredients to keep your skin feeling soft and looking radiant. That signature butter blend—a formula that features shea, murumuru, and illipe butters—is around, as are hyaluronic acid, vitamin E, and a skin soothing complex of colloidal oat extract, jojoba oil, and squalane.

“We’re obsessive about texture and scent,” the founders added. “Body Butter Balm had to absorb instantly and leave skin feeling nourished.”

It feels rich going on and leaves your skin subtly scented with your fragrance of choice. And if you want to magnify that scent? The mists are there. Vanilla has notes of vanilla cake, tonka bean, and fluffy musk. Pink Guava is all guava nectar, pink strawberry, and pear blossom, and the new Pistachio Milk boasts its namesake note of pistachio milk, creamy woods, and raspberry sugar.

“A body butter is such a no-brainer for Summer Fridays that I was surprised it wasn’t already in their lineup. I’m not a gourmand girl, so none of the scents initially called to me, but I found all three of them to be more sophisticated than I expected. I settled on Pistachio Milk, which has a lovely creamy vibe. The formula is beautiful, super rich and hydrating but not greasy or thick. I applied it after my bedtime shower, and my skin still felt so soft and nourished when I woke up. Similarly, the scent lasted on my skin all throughout the next day, and layered nicely with my floral perfume.
