To complement your glowing summer skin, you need an easy-going pedicure hue. Crisp white toenails are popular during the warmer months, but a bright polish isn’t for everyone. Fortunately, white pedicures come in a spectrum of shades for every taste preference. From vanilla to butter cream, and pearl to frostbite, there’s truly something for everyone.
Below, we asked four top manicurists to share their favorite shades of white for the ultimate summer vibe. Read on to see the best white pedicure polishes for summer 2026.
Meet the Experts
- Amy Ling Lin is the CEO and founder of Sundays Salon in New York City.
- Elle Gerstein is a celebrity nail stylist based in New York and Los Angeles.
- Jin Soon Choi is an editorial manicurist and founder of the JINsoon Spas and JINsoon Nail Lacquer.
- Mazz Hanna is a manicurist and the CEO of Nailing Hollywood.
Snow White
We'll kick off this list with a true white polish. Clean, crisp, and classic, a true white delivers a bright and lively look with minimal effort.
"Think of it as a statement shade that can also be unpretentious," says celebrity nail stylist Elle Gerstein. It serves as a blank canvas and works well with designs, including bold nail art or micro-French pedicures, which Gerstein says are also trending this season.
Cream
Whether you're embracing a lychee pink mani or opting for colorful designs, a cream hue will ensure your toes complement, not clash with your manicure. "Cream colors tend to pair well with brighter shades, making it ideal for summer pedicures," says Gerstein. Even better? Gerstein notes it's also the perfect pedicure color to complement for neon or gold fingernails.
Pearl
If a bright white shade feels too bold, try sporting a pearlescent pedicure. It has a similarly clean aesthetic without being too flashy. Amy Ling Lin, CEO and founder of Sundays Salon in New York City, notes that the luminous finish feels effortless and chic. She recommends looking for polishes that have a touch of iridescence to enhance the subtlety of the shade.
Iced Vanilla
Vanilla is a neutral color that works on everyone. However, if you want to make things interesting, an icy version of the hue is the way to go. "It's a playful option for those looking for a bright pedicure color that's also minimal and clean," says Mazz Hanna, manicurist and CEO of Nailing Hollywood. The frosted finish will keep the light bouncing off your nails.
Buttercream
White pedicures are a no-brainer for come summertime. However, they can be too crisp for fall and spring. Buttercream teeters between a soft off-white and cream with rich yellow undertones, making it ideal for any complexion. According to editorial manicurist Jin Soon Choi, it offers a polished, understated elegance.
Frostbite
A touch of blue shimmer gives this white polish a frosty glow. While it's not for the timid, it is a cool hue if you want your pedicure to stand out. To amplify the effect, try sporting a matching manicure.
Coconut Cream
"Coconut is a clean, luminous white that feels fresh and polished for everyday wear," says Ling Lin. A sheer-milky consistency only adds to the dreamy effect. Look for a white polish that's slightly see-through with just a hint of warmth to enhance the coconut color. It's the perfect pedicure color for beach vacations: soft, dreamy, and subtly unexpected. Plus, as Ling Lin adds, it will make your toes look like they're glowing in the sun and go well with a tan.
Almond Milk
Not ready to ditch your perfect nude nails? Allow us to introduce almond milk. Classic, chic, and universal, it works for pedicures year-round. Choi notes that its understated appeal never goes out of style and that it's ideal for those who prefer a minimalist look.
Powdered Sugar
Londontown
"A chrome finish adds a soft pop to white for anyone who wants something different without going too bright," says Hanna. To maximize the effect, she recommends looking for a polish with cool undertones. "This ensures the shade complements all complexions and skin tones," she adds.
Cloudy White
Lights Lacquer
Cloud colors with gray undertones are an unexpected way to wear white this season. They're deeply mysterious and offer an edgy, more fashion-forward pedicure compared to cleaner shades of white.
Slight Sparkle
Zoya
It's summertime—why not up the shimmer? Adding some glitter pigments to a classic white polish is a genius way to literally add a little sparkle to your life (while keeping you in your polish palette comfort zone, of course).
